The Executive Committee is an authoritative, decision-making organization of
the congregation appointed by the elders.  The Executive Committee will
address functional decisions, supporting the ministries of the congregation
and assisting the elders with pastoral and discipleship concerns.  As stated in
our bylaws, the elders will remain responsible for the congregation and, in
particular, its biblical principles, doctrinal issues and spiritual direction.

Executive Committee decisions and actions
  • Executive Committee members are Irv Horseman, Kathy Lentz, Sheldon
    Lentz, Nancy Weizman, Shachar Weizman, Bob Younger and Ina
    Younger.
  • The term for Executive Committee members is 1 year, calendar year
    2009.
  • Shachar will serve as the Chairman of the committee and Kathy will
    serve as Secretary.
  • Communications with the congregation will be done through a variety of
    means.  A public version of meeting minutes will be created for this
    purpose.  Specific communications with individuals or smaller groups will
    be addressed on a case by case basis.  Communication with the
    leadership team should fit within these guidelines.
  • Leadership meetings will be held less frequently with a modified
    purpose.  Specifics still need to be determined.
  • Presentation of leaders and the executive committee will be held during
    a Celebration of Ministry on April 4, 2009.
  • An ongoing review of ministry leadership descriptions is being done.
  • A policy on non-congregational use of building will be written and
    published after approval.  
  • Post-event debriefings will be held to review how events went and to
    work toward improvements for future events.
